Albrecht Mayer began his career in 1990 as solo oboist with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra. Two years later he received an offer from the Berlin Philharmonic and ever since, Albrecht Mayer has worked internationally as a soloist, playing with such masters as Claudio Abbado, Sir Simon Rattle, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Iván Fischer and John Eliot Gardiner. His credo is: "I would like to inspire people to be enthusiastic about music".
